looking back at Halloween pasts..

Just looking back at how much Miss Lyla has grown.

Here she is as a pumpkin on her 1st Halloween just 5.5 months old... I remember that day - it was absolutely beautiful warm day... And here is our bee from last year, at almost 1.5 years old. She still wears the bee vest and I swear she will wear it until it is no longer humanly possible.

And here she is our lady bug this year. . Almost 2.5 years old.

Time flies and she continues to grow....

From our house to yours, my you have a spook-tackular Halloween tonight. Thanks to my sister for giving us Lyla's ladybug costume. It is going to be a cold night, so this will be good to keep her warm..

'I am a Robot!'

Last week Lyla's best friend Caillou and his friend Leo were pretending to be Robots. So Lyla had to be one too. Here is my little robot!

Things Lyla says..

On the way to Lyla's school today I was wearing a puffer vest. Lyla says to me -

"Muma. What are you wearing?"

"It is a vest - like a coat Lyla."

"No it's not Muma. It's a life jacket."

Sure - to a 2 year old a puffer vest does look like a life jacket. Puts a little perspective on the way others look at you.. Have a great day.

Campa's Boat

Lyla's Campa a.k.a. Grandpa got a boat this summer. We went for a boat ride on our visit in August and here are some pictures of Lyla's 1st boating experience. Happy faces with her muma.. She was not completely sure of the whole boating thing but did wonderful. She enjoyed trolling around most. When we went fast at first she liked it better than the second time after trolling around. I think she realized we could just go slow and it would be quiet and not windy and such.

All and all, I think Lyla had a great boating trip - and by next summer she can be the first mate! Thanks Campa for taking us out on a boat ride and thanks Uncle Tyler for the ride.. Until next summer...

Friends for Life

Here are my bestest friends in the world. We spent the years of our high school life together, went our separate ways, and now we are back to being closest buds again. Most of the girls are actually pretty close in distance to each other. Some of us are far away. But distance doesn't stop us from picking up right where we left of. That is what is so special about our bond, we will always be friends - until we are old and gray.Leanne hosted a family ho-down during the summer at her house for all of us and our families. Here we are before heading off on the wagon ride. We are looking forward to a girls retreat in a couple of weeks. We are going away without kids or husbands to be pampered and spend some quality girl time - drinking wine and catching up. Can't wait!
