Out of the blue, Lyla decided that she can walk with us holding her arms. We have been trying this for a bit but she would take a couple of steps and then just kind of tilt. She is changing daily, and is becoming more mobile everyday. We better batten down the hatches, as she is going to be into everything!

Lyla has been quite the singer of 'Jingle Bells' over the past winter holidays. She adds in the "Hey!" quite enthusiastically. At the end, check out the hug! Gotta love the hugs

Gymboree Fun

This morning we took Lyla for a preview class of Gymboree Play and Learn Gym. Ryan gave me a gift certificate for Christmas. It was a 9:10 class, and today Miss Lyla decided to sleep in, so we were cutting it close, but me made it in time, and we are sure glad we did, because we all had so much fun!

Here is Lyla, taking it all in. She loved to songs and free play where we got to go on the equipment and sing nursery rhymes.

We even slid down some slides. So much fun!

Lyla did get upset when they played on the parachute and she feel over, but there were lots of smiles, just like below!

So, you are looking at the newest member of the Gymboree Play and Learn Level 2. We start classes this week, and can go to open gym every day if we wanted to! We cant wait!

Mission Completed

No words needed - just victory. At least for now, we will see if it is still hanging in the morning.

New Microwave 2009

I had high hopes for a day of re-lax-ation, and this has not been the case. Rather, on this the 2nd day of 2009 and it was one of those frustrating days. The day that the over -the -range microwave dies, and the day where the 2 non-engineering people have to install a new one. The 144 dollar installation fee is looking good right now.

Did I mention, that I am pretty type A and this mess is making my skin crawl....

We are just waiting for the wood glue to dry so the fun can continue. Did I mention we have been working on this for like 4 hours... I am starting to consider just plugging it in here on the floor....
